Last weekend my oldest niece got married and picking our out family wedding day looks was more stressful than I thought. In the end, I think we pulled it off, though it went different than I planned!
Our Wedding Day Looks
Just when I was starting to shop for new wedding clothes, Coco got the croup and she was sick for so long! I still had a lot to manage at work so we were just making it every day. We were jus so behind and our family wedding day looks just went to the bottom of my list.
I ended up having time to run to Amelias Boutique, my favorite Kansas City local boutique. When I want something special and original, this is the place! How pretty is this fall floral print on this dress with full, long sleeves?
My niece asked that Coco wear a dress she herself wore as a baby. She passed down this sweet lacy white dress and it fit Coco perfectly! I had my eye on this pale pink dress and this white dress with bows if we needed it.
I paired her dress with a velvet pink bow from Baby Bling. I recently found this brand at Nordstrom and they are not only so good, but they don’t mark her head as much as other bows do. We love them! I grabbed these sweet pink ballet slippers to complete her look. But of course, she pulled them off pretty early on into the evening!
I always head to Janie and Jack for special occasion clothes for the kids. Fitz looked so sharp with his grey vest and bow tie! Their khaki pants are a nice, slim fit and they were literally the only pair of nice pants I could find that fit him well. Coco’s little pink slippers are from there too.
We had a hard time finding a nicer pair of shoes for Fitz, I mean I looked EVERYWHERE! When I finally popped in to Nordstrom (why didn’t I just go there first?), we found the perfect dress boots for him. I know he’ll be wearing them to church and other events through the winter. They fit true to size and he was comfortable to wear them all evening and dance around on the dance floor too!
