I wanted to hop on and share about our Christmas 2020 and what I’m looking forward to in 2021!
This crazy year has actually come to an end, and I was so happy that we got to have a beautiful Christmas with our family and our new baby girl. This year started off so rough: April reminded us we lost a baby last year, then Covid came and caused so much chaos in our jobs and schools. We got pregnant again (yay!) but I spent the whole pregnancy super sick (thank you, 9 months of all day pregnancy sickness). But since we got home with our Cosette April, things started to look brighter!
Fitz is a BIG Santa believer, and I was so sad we couldn’t get his usual pic with Santa, especially since it was Coco’s first Christmas. He wrote a letter to Santa with his Christmas list so he would know what he wanted. This also caused some last minute shopping on our part! But Santa surprised my family on Christmas Day- thanks to my brother – and we got our annual picture. Fitz was so happy to see him and only a bit shy. And his older cousins were all such good sports about it too. So fun!
My brother’s church hosted the most beautiful Christmas Eve service and while there I was reflecting on all God has given us this year, even when sometimes things can seem tough. I’ve always loved my family, but 2020 has made me even more appreciative of just how blessed I am to have them all!
As we look ahead to the new year, I am so excited about what’s to come! I’m looking forward to teaching classes again in February and each semester I get more experienced and enjoy my courses even more. I’m praying things get better so that Joe and i can teach more in person and on a regular schedule. I get to watch Cosette grow as a baby into a toddler. Fitz will probably start Kindergarten in August and that is a huge milestone!
I’m also looking forward to being more consistent with creating new content for this blog. When I started in the summer, I was pretty sick and also working overload so I’m actually pretty happy I did as much as I have…I’ve learned a lot of the logistics and made some meaningful connections. I am super excited about my plans for the upcoming year and sharing more about my life, family, and fashion! I hope you’ll stick around for it!
What are you looking forward to in the new year? I pray God’s blessings on you and yours in 2021!
