DIY Mother’s Day Ideas

May 3, 2022 By Emily No Comments

Today I’m sharing three simple DIY ideas for Mother’s Day! It’s only a few short days away, so if you need a simple craft or activity, I’ve got you covered.

DIY Mother’s Day Ideas

1. Guess Mom’s Favorites Game

This activity is so easy to do and your family will love seeing who can guess Mom’s favorite things! Most importantly, Mom will love the special attention. How to set up:

  • Grab a jar, cup, or Mom’s favorite mug.
  • Write different prompts on popsicle sticks: Board game, season, holiday, book, movie, sport to play, sport to watch, etc.
  • Take turns drawing a stick and see who in the family can name Mom’s favorite things correctly!

You can also have mom write her answer on the other side of the popsicle stick. We like to play little games like this around the dinner table – it gets the family talking together!

2. Fingerprint Heart Craft

Need a last minute gift from the heart? We had so much fun making these fingerprint heart crafts! We plan on giving them to both Grandmothers -the perfect DIY Mother’s Day gift!

We love this craft because it’s also a sensory activity and it worked well for both kids. Coco needed some guidance, but after she figured out what to do, she really enjoyed it! We used our Splat Mat to make a safe painting area, which is a MUST for messy activities with kids. You just toss the Splat Mat in the wash after use and it’s ready to go again for the next activity!

3. Mother’s Day Interview from Kids

Did you see my last post with this All About My Mom printable? This Mother’s Day Letter from kids is so cute – you just interview and let the kids fill in this Mad Lib style letter. Print one and pass it on to Dad for his help to work with the kids! It’s so cute when they share it with you, and a special keepsake too.

Hopefully you found an idea you can use for Mom’s special day! I know I’m looking forward to spending time with family, relaxing, and getting special attention.
