What’s in our Easter baskets:
You’ll be refreshing the sidewalk chalk and bubble stash and purchasing new swim attire soon, right? I always throw some new summer items in our Easter basket! Some of my current favorites:
Summer items:
- Sidewalk chalk: This 40 piece sidewalk chalk bucket with stencils or a 22 piece sidewalk chalk set with holders for the littler ones!
- Bubbles: Both kids will love this pineapple bubble machine– it’s just $10.
- Little girl swimsuits: This polka dot suit is in Coco’s basket and I love this striped suit if you want a rash guard option. I also got her this terry cloth cover-up -it will be our go to for pool days and sooo cute!
- Little boy swimsuits: We love these flamingo print and pineapple print trunks! (Both just $10)
- We love a good pair of new sunnies! These pink cateye and blue sunglasses are both on sale for under $10 at Carter’s.
Other Items:
- I love anything personalized and these you can order these crayons in your kids’ names! It’s just $1.50 for each letter and they ship fast.
- Throw in an Easter themed book like this Hop Peek-a-Flap book for Coco or Pete the Cat’s Big Easter Adventure.
- Check out the Target Bullseye playground for Easter socks, Bunny ears, and Peep shaped bath bombs!
- Coco is getting this Duplo Lego set that’s perfect for toddler’s and Fitz will love these glow in the dark stars for above his bed.
Easter Task Cards
These Easter Task cards are the perfect non-candy easter egg filler. Or you can pass them out for the kids or the whole family to do together. They are simple, but sure to keep them happy and busy at your Easter gathering.
You get ten Easter task cards sent straight to your inbox just for signing up to my email list! Tasks include: Sort your Easter eggs or jelly beans by color, have a bunny hop race, and retell the Easter story to someone. So simple but fun!
Basket Name Tags
We love to personalize our Easter baskets with name tags of some kind. One option is to paint wooden letters and hot glue on the front (above left). It’s a great way to have a keepsake basket to use year after year!
Or you can make your own name pennants with silly straws (above right). Fold a piece of paper and cut out a pennant shape, with the long side on the crease. Then place a silly straw inside, using tape on the inside to hold it together. Your kids will love the straw as a gift too!
