My baby girl is two! Check out Cosette’s second birthday, what she is loving now, and new things she is up to. It’s been 6 months since our last update (you can see her 18 month update too). Like always, soooo much has changed in such a short time.

Two Year Old Update
Cosette is a tiny, but mighty little two year old! Every where she goes, people comment on her big blue eyes, how much she talks, and also how tiny she is. She loves to wave and say hi to every person (and dog) that we see when we are out.
Her Second Birthday
We had fun for her second birthday, even though it wasn’t as planned. But I’ll share some inspo for a Minnie Mouse birthday because it was just too cute!
I had a little Minnie Mouse second birthday party planned, but unfortunately, the flu was going around our house and we had to cancel our guests. A couple of days after her birthday, we were able to get up, snap these pictures, and make her cupcakes.
And my mom and dad were so kind to drop off these Minnie Mouse balloons on her birthday too-that made her so excited! And I always grab a giant number balloon for the kids’ birthdays. It makes for fun pictures and a special tradition to track their ages.
We had fun making these super simple Minnie Mouse cupcakes. They helped make things a bit more festive since we had to cancel the party!
I think her favorite gifts were the purple sparkle rainboots and this Minnie Mouse doll. And of course, we had to dress her in a cute pink Minnie Mouse dress! It’s straight from the Disney Store and definitely the best quality one we could find. Plus, it will make for a fun dress up costume for play.
The best part was seeing how excited she was. She kept saying “Oh, so pretty” and “I like it!”, so I know that she had a good time too.
How she’s eating
You’d never know about the eating trouble Coco had when she was younger! She is eating a lot and asks for food almost all day long. She tapers off around dinner time and doesn’t want to eat a lot at that point, but we keep her fed all day long. She’s still super tiny and checked in at less than the 1st percentile…but she is following her own little growth chart and is happy and healthy.
She is starting to get into that annoying toddler phase of not eating a lot of variety….veggies aren’t her favorite even though we offer a variety and she used to eat them not too long ago. I don’t get how their tastes change so quick! Her favorite foods (today, at least!) are applesauce, yogurt, Grape Nuts Flakes cereal, and macaroni and cheese.
We were told to cut the bottle a year ago, but she loves it so much at night and we loved the snuggles, so we kept it another year. But now that we have tossed all of her bottles, we have found that she refuses to drink her milk out of a cup. And of course, dropping her nighttime routine started impacting her sleep…
How she’s sleeping
If I wrote these a mere couple of weeks ago, I would tell you that she happily naps 3 hours a day and then sleeps 11-12 hours at night and easily goes down. After we cut out her nighttime bottle, she just started hollering at bedtime, so we’ve had some sleepless nights again lately. Her crib is always full of water cups, books, dolls, and blankets as she suddenly needs all of the things right at bedtime, and I know she’s not the only toddler that does this!
Other things she’s doing
It wouldn’t be a two year old update without talking about potty training. We started potty training her at the end of summer, and I’m going to need to write a whole post on that separately! She still has accidents sometimes (usually only at home), but overall, she’s doing really well throughout the day. She wears a diaper for sleeps, but we’ve noticed it’s pretty dry most of the time too. I’m completely blank on how long after potty training that Fitz was able to stay dry for napping and overnight.
Coco shocks us every day with new words and longer sentences! It’s so fun to hear her talk and interact so much. She is very verbal and wants to communicate constantly.
Her favorite things
Every week, Cosette goes to a little mommy and me music class with either me or her nanny. She loves her music class so much and drags her little music bag around and asks us all to help her practice her ABCs.
She’s currently obsessed with Minnie Mouse, all things PINK, watching Encanto, and putting on nail polish, hairbows and lip gloss.
