An Easy Maternity Look for Work

August 28, 2020 By Emily 2 Comments

Maternity work look with black leggings

Today’s outfit is the perfect maternity look for work- and so easy! I’m sharing the first of three maternity looks that all use the same simple base: black maternity leggings and a white maternity tank. Then I just pulled different layers that I already have in my closet to change it up….it’s called getting the most of your closet while pregnant without breaking the bank!

When I’m pregnant, I hate busting my budget for a bunch of items that I’ll only wear a short while. I can get away with my usual clothes for the first couple of months. Then I kind of transition to things like jogger pants and dresses that gets me through most of the second trimester. But now that I’m 27 weeks along and getting larger by the day, I’m having to get a bit more creative! I was happy to use items I already had in my closet for this maternity look for work.

Since a new semester is starting at the university I work at, I needed to find some professional clothes to wear with my baby bump. This oversized blazer from Topshop is perfect – it’s long enough to cover what I need (Read: covers my bottom!) but still has enough structure that I don’t feel frumpy! And I love these black pumps – they are great for walking around at work with the chunkier heel. I’ve also worn them to fancier events, like a night out and a wedding!

This black tote is perfect for a work bag-it’s goes with everything and is large enough for the laptop, planner and textbooks I lug around! I also have and love this other durable bag for work if I want another option.

Are you a working, pregnant mama? What is your go to outfit for work with a baby bump? I’d love to hear below!

Be sure to check back soon for another easy maternity look and thanks so much for stopping by Emily’s Little Loves!

Topshop Blazer: pink is sold out, but now I want this camel color!
1. State Black Pumps: I love these so much- about to grab them in nude too.
Blanqi Maternity Leggings: These are pregnancy essentials.
White maternity tank: Target
Black tote: sold out, similar here and under $50!
