I’m Emily, a mother of two little loves here on earth and 1 angel baby. I am a full time working mama as an Education Professor in the Kansas City area. I’m here to share tips for busy moms and activities to keep your kids happy, busy, and learning! I love using my experience in education to teach my little ones at home and sharing it with others. And I love to share my favorite finds for kids and moms along the way!
I’m married to Joe, the sweetest father and husband on the earth who is more than I deserve. He is also an educator, and works as a high school English teacher and a golf coach. I worked for ten years as an elementary classroom teacher (I also had a two year stint as a K-6 STEM specialist) before earning my doctorate degree in Education and moving on to higher education. I now have a more flexible (but still just as busy!) job at a local university where I prepare undergraduate and graduate students to be teachers. I LOVE what I do!
Our first born, Fitzgerald Fox was born in July 2016 and he is the most delightful little boy. He loves all things sports, puzzles, books, and will work on Lego sets for hours at a time. We also love to play board games together.
We lost our second little baby last September after a difficult struggle with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. We know God is holding onto our Angel Baby for us and we think about our Little Chief often.
We welcomed Cosette in November 2020 and she is an absolute delight! She sure keeps us on our toes and has proved to be very different from her big brother since day 1! They have developed a strong relationship already and it’s so fun to see them love on each other so much.
Other things I L O V E: Mani/pedis, shopping with a personal shopper at Nordstrom (it’s FREE!), Target, and summertime.
