25 Weeks Pregnant Update

August 12, 2020 By Emily 1 Comment

25 weeks pregnant update
Dress: button-up midi dress from Billabong

We are in month 6 and doing great! Here’s my update on how the baby girl and I are doing at 25 weeks pregnant:

Feeling:

Well…do I sound like a broken record yet? I won’t focus on the morning sickness that I seem to be blessed with throughout all of pregnancy, BUT I will say that what’s helping me is now I can see light at the end of the tunnel! Just a few months to go makes it bearable. 🙂 I swear, women who get serious morning sickness just have another reason to make the sweet baby’s arrival all the more amazing.

I’ve also been sleeping better the past couple of weeks! I’ve been really intentional about praying and reading scripture before sleep and it helps calm my anxiety. I found this list of pregnancy prayers from blogger Ashley Hodges (if you don’t follow her, you should!) and they have really helped give me peace. A pregnancy after a loss is very different, and I struggled with more concerns and stress than I dealt with during Fitz’s pregnancy. I am so thankful that God always listens to me and brings me peace.

Preparing

My biggest preparation lately was f i n a l l y getting her a baby book! I just LOVE this personalized book I found on Etsy. It has her sweet name on the front, but I’m keeping it secret for now. 🙂 And Fitz and I enjoy working on it together, so it gives me another way to get him prepared for the baby too.

I took a bit of a break on the nursery prep because I’ve been getting ready for the new school semester will start. But next update will have info on the crib! Still searching for just the right one.

Wearing

Since school started face to face this week, I’ve been looking for things I can wear out of the house and this button-up midi dress from Billabong fits the bill! It’s non-maternity and I’m wearing my regular size. It’s flows nicely, so it will fit for awhile, and the tie gives it more shape for the baby bump!

At 25 weeks pregnant, I’ve just got 15 weeks left to go. If you’re pregnant too, how much longer is your countdown to baby? I’d love to know!
